Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga is a gentle, basic yoga class with no flow between poses. Expect a slower-paced stretching-focused class with some basic pranayama breathing exercises and often a short meditation at the end. Hatha classes are a good place to stretch, unwind and release tension, work on your alignment, learn relaxation techniques, while building strength and flexibility. These classes can be taught on request, please contact me for more details.

Bikram Yoga

Bikram Yoga is a system of yoga that Bikram Choudhury created from traditional hatha yoga techniques and popularized beginning in the early 1970s. It includes 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises and is practiced in a room heated to 40 degrees so allow a deeper practice and a safe environment to stretch the body. Bikram yoga works every muscle, joint, ligament and system in the human body and heals body, mind and spirit. Expect miracles!

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa, also called flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together, is one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga. In vinyasa, each asana (posture) flows into the next, and these asanas are strung together to create a sequence. In Vinyasa the movement is connected to the breath and the postures move in rhythm with the breath. Expect a flowing, dynamic and fun class with focus on breathe, strength and flexibility.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga nidra or yogic sleep is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the going-to-sleep stage. It is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, and the practitioner becomes systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of verbal instructions. Check my schedule for occasional Yoga Nidra classes.
